How are the overlays used?
Hold a transparent overlay in front of the client’s face to see how the shape and color work before trying on physical eyewear. Place one overlay, then the next, and compare which gives the best effect. Narrow it down to 2 to 4 frames and let the client choose.
Do I need to know the client’s season first?
It is step 1 of the method. Once you know if the client is warm or cool, soft or bright, light or dark, you work from that season’s set of overlays and its quick reference guide.
I use a different color analysis method. Will it fit my practice?
Yes. Whether you work with 4, 12 or 16 seasons, or another color analysis system, the color system is designed to complement all seasonal color analysis methods. The overlays are organized in four seasonal color distributions, so you can start from your client’s undertone, intensity and depth and work from there.
How do I identify the client’s face shape?
Use theFace Shape Acetate Charts, sold separately. They cover all 8 face shapes the frame guides refer to.
Is it only for color consultants?
No. It was made for eyewear specialists, optical stores, color and image consultants, personal stylists and beauty professionals.
What languages are the guides in?
The system is bilingual. Every frame guide and the How to Use chart come in English and Portuguese.
